We rent a our building form a Lutheran church. If it were our own building there are many things that we would do differently, such as placing the altar on the eastern wall and celebrate facing the proper direction. However, as it stands we work with what we have. On high holidays we celebrate facing the high altar, however, it is a bit akward with the low altar in the way.
Thank you for sharing these. It gives a little of the flavour and life of your parish. Despite the constraints, it must be a blessing to be able to worship in such a building. It certainly has potential.
Very nice, except for the Ad Populum Eucharistic Celebration. Neither Orthodox or authentically Catholic. Sorry.

ReplyDeleteOh, and I love the new blog template. :-) It's nice and tidy, with clean lines, and everything's easy to find. A good choice.
ReplyDeleteMichael,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words. This young mission parish is truly a special place, our parishioners call it an oasis.
